Dancing with the Stars isn’t crowning the winner of its Mirror Ball trophy until next week, but for ousted partners Kym Johnson and Shark Tank‘s Robert Herjavec, the chemistry they found on the dance floor is prize enough.

“We love spending time together and it’s been great,” Johnson told PEOPLE at An Evening with Dancing with the Stars at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

“He’s an incredible person, he really is,” she added. “He’s such a wonderful man and it’s been great spending time with him and getting to know him.”

Johnson, 38, and Herjavec, 51, have been playing coy about their rumored relationship, but the two were recently photographed sharing a kiss in Palm Springs, California.

The pair will reunite as dance partners again this coming week for the finale but it wasn’t Herjavec’s moves that attracted the Aussie beauty to the business man – it was his brain and philosophy on life.

“He’s so incredibly smart,” she said. “He came into the competition embracing it and that’s what I’ve learned from him, to just embrace situations life throws at you.”

Continued Johnson: “He’s got this incredible outlook on life and his personality is just so infectious. He loves life and he enjoys everything he does so it’s fun to be around someone like that.”
