Rockstar has revealed today several of the new features that the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V will include. In addition, Rockstar has confirmed that the game will run at 1080p/30fps on PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will have 4K support.

One of the most promising additions in the new versions of Grand Theft Auto V is the brand new first-person mode. This means that Grand Theft Auto V will be the first title in the series to allow players to play in first-person mode.

“We’ve always been in interested in [a first-person mode], but it’s never really been an option for us,” said Rob Nelson, the game’s animation director. “I don’t think we could’ve put it in the [last-gen version] because we were too busy making the game. We were too busy working on our third-person controls and the missions.

“I just think it’s a different way of experiencing the world. It’s a different perspective. You’re eye-level, down with the people on the street, and as you walk past them, you see them sort of look at you out of the corner of their eye. All of this stuff existed in the game before – lots of little details.”

The PS4 version of the title is also going to include some exclusive features. Players will have the option to use the DualShock 4’s speaker to play phone calls and police radio, and the controller’s touch panel to change weapons and radio stations. In addition, the Dualshock 4’s light bar flashes red and blue when players are being purchased by the police.

Grand Theft Auto V launches on PS4 and Xbox One on 18th of November. PC players will have to wait until the 27th of January to get their hands on the game.
